You see, my sensei mentioned it while talking to me about places in Japan I might be interested in. I researched the guide and bought it (as an early Christmas present to myself). Already it is delightful! Additionally, it has colorful writing and phrases such as "beautiful, unfathomable and downright odd" (p. 6), "palpable presence" (p. 14), and my favorite, "retina-burning splendour" (p. 11). And as you can see, those are only the first few pages!
Truly, it is a stupendous guide already, and most importantly, it is inspiring. I began this blog as a place to keep track of my "to-do" and "must-see" list. This blog will become more, I presume, and grow and change and evolve. But always I will have my list of what to see, and eventually, what I have seen!
